Welcome to Spark, our Jr. High (Middle School) Ministry at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church! Any child in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade is welcome to experience what the Lord has to offer them through this ministry. Spark is designed to meet the unique spiritual, educational, emotional, and social needs of each child.
In a season where middle schoolers are trying to figure out who they are and what they believe, Spark Ministry strives to create a space for them to be their authentic selves in the way that God created them to be. The leadership team is ready to help ignite a “spark” in the individual faith journeys of our youth community. Ultimately, we prepare ourselves to serve the middle school community so that each person may discover and grow in their personal relationship with God.
Spark Nights occur on scheduled Fridays each month, from 5 PM–7:30 PM. These Spark Nights typically include a combination of prayer, fellowship, a talk, large group and small group discussions, and activities which support the goal of engaging the youth with different aspects of Catholicism. With every event, we want participants to gain an understanding and appreciation of what the Catholic Church teaches and believes, as well as develop an identity as a beloved son or daughter of God.
There will also be a non-overnight weekend retreat in the summer as an opportunity for middle schoolers to dive deeper into their faith.
